The Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) invites proposals from reputed hockey academies across India to support Men’s Hockey at the grassroots level. The proposal should cater to 15 boys aged between 10-17 years.
The academy must provide the following facilities:
A. Core Facilities
- Hockey Field
- FIH-approved synthetic turf (astro turf)
- Floodlighting for evening training and matches
- Efficient drainage system to prevent waterlogging
- Indoor Training Area
- Wooden or Synthetic Flooring for drills and fitness
- Skill-training Equipment (cones, dummies, rebound boards, etc.)
- Goalkeeping Training Zone
- Dedicated space with turf, foam balls, and protective gear
B. Residential & Educational Facilities
- Hostel/Dormitory
- Safe, hygienic, and comfortable living quarters
- Separate accommodations for under-18 players
- Dining Hall
- Clean canteen serving nutritionist-approved balanced meals
- Kitchen staff trained to cater to athletes’ dietary needs
- Academic & Learning Support
- Provision for schooling (tie-up with local schools or correspondence)
- Study/ Computer room for continuing education and online learning
- Tutors or evening study hours
- Classroom/ AV room for theory, video analysis, and motivational sessions
- Coaches’ room equipped for tactical discussions and planning
C. Support Staff
- Professional Physiotherapist
- Certified Fitness Trainer
- Sports Psychologist
- Nutritionist (preferred)
- Medical Staff or tie-up with nearby Hospitals/ Clinics
- Female Wardens/ Mentors for emotional and social support
D. Fitness & Conditioning
- Gymnasium
- Equipped with Strength and Cardio Training Machines
- Recovery & Rehabilitation
- Ice bath, Hydrotherapy pool and Physiotherapy room
- Stretching and Yoga space
- Running Track
- For endurance and sprint training (400m/200m)
E. Other Infrastructure
- Locker rooms with individual lockers and showers
- Laundry facility for training kits
- Medical room with first-aid and essential supplies
- Administrative office for academy operations
F. Security & Surveillance
- 24×7 Security Personnel
- 24×7 CCTV surveillance in all common areas
- Secured campus with boundary walls and restricted access
- Emergency response protocols in place
G. Transport Facility
- Dedicated vehicle (bus/van) for travel to tournaments and exposure trips
H. High-Performance Add-Ons (Preferred)
- Video analysis software
- GPS tracking vests and performance monitoring tools
- Regular health check-ups
- Tie-ups with National Federation / State Associations of Hockey for exposure
