SELECTION TRIALS OF PLAYERS FOR PSPB TABLE TENNIS ACADEMY, SONEPAT
(Session 2026–27)
Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Table Tennis Academy, established in 1995, has been a premier cradle of excellence for budding table tennis talent in India. Over the years, the academy has been guided by highly qualified Indian and International Coaches, maintaining a legacy of producing champions who have excelled at the National and International level.
Our trainees have proudly represented India at the Olympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and multiple international circuits, bringing laurels to the country and the organization.
PSPB is pleased to invite applications for the Selection Trials for the 2026–27 session, scheduled to be held during January/February 2026 at the PSPB Table Tennis Academy, Sonipat (Haryana)
Selection Procedure
Categories
Selection Trials will be conducted for the following age groups (Boys & Girls):
• Cadet
• Sub-Junior
• Junior
• Youth
Age Criteria
As per TTFI Rules & Regulations for the respective categories.
Eligibility
Players meeting the following criteria may apply:
• State Ranking 1 or 2, and/or
• Top 30 players in the final TTFI Rankings 2025 in the respective category.
Selection Process & Parameters
• PSPB will constitute a Selection Committee comprising qualified coaches and experts.
• Players will be evaluated on multiple parameters, including:
o Technical proficiency
o Physical fitness
o Tactical understanding
o Mental strength
o Overall growth potential
• PSPB will have the final authority regarding selection and total number of players admitted to the residential academy.
Documentation Required
All participants must carry the following documents (original + photocopy):
• Age Proof as per TTFI Guidelines (mandatory)
• Date of Birth certificate
• School certificates (verified by school authorities)
• Any other supporting documents (sports achievements, ranking proofs, etc.)
Players without proper documentation will not be allowed to participate in the trials.
Benefits for Selected Players
All selected players will be admitted as residential trainees at the PSPB Table Tennis Academy, Sonipat. PSPB will bear all associated expenses, including:
• Boarding & lodging
• Table Tennis training & coaching (Indian & Foreign coaches)
• Training equipment
• School education (fees, books, uniforms, etc.)
• Fitness & conditioning programs
• Sports psychology support
• Tournament participation & exposure trips (national-level events)
Selected players will directly participate in National Ranking Tournaments and will officially represent the PSPB Table Tennis Academy.

All State Associations are requested to nominate eligible players along with the complete bio-data and the following:
• Recent photograph
• Ranking records
• Performance history
• Copy of Age Proof
• Coach/Academy details
