Yogesh Pardeshi of IOCL won the double crown at the US OPEN 2023 title by clinching victory in both categories i.e. singles and doubles. The championship was held in Maryland from 08 -10 September 2023 witnessing over 140 participants from various countries. With that, Yogesh also secured 2 White Slams and clinched the title by defeating US National Champion Ajay Arora in the Quarterfinals, Netherlands champion Chamil Cooray in the semi-finals and the Indian inform Anil Vemuri in the Finals, all in straight two sets.
Another treat for India was when Rashmi Kumari of ONGC secured 2nd place in the Challengers Group (singles category) of the US OPEN 2023. Rashmi also scored one black slam.
Later Yogesh Pardeshi and Rashmi Kumari were felicitated by the Mayor of Fredrick Maryland Mr. Michael O’Connor and were presented with a Carrom Striker.
